Welcome to the Management and Leading Change Master of Arts program at Antioch University Midwest! Now that you have completed the admissions process, you may be wondering, “What’s next?”
At the beginning of each semester, we convene as a learning community. Your first residential session will be held August 24-26, 2013. Your residential sessions are exciting times spent getting to know other graduate students, faculty, and other AUM staff. It’s also a critical time in which you will begin exploring your program’s curriculum and learning goals, and how these connect to your experience and goals for the future. These activities and more are important foundations for your success in the program and relationships you’ll develop in graduate school.
Normally, students are in session from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. with an hour lunch break and several short breaks throughout the day. Although your daily sessions with faculty usually conclude by 5 p.m., these are full academic days and may be accompanied by nightly review of materials, and/or additional brief reading assignments for the next day. Sometimes evening work is involved, so please keep your schedule flexible.
A continental breakfast, i.e., muffins, bagels, fruit, coffee and tea as well as lunch and snacks will be available daily. Students are responsible for dinners. There are several dining options in downtown Yellow Springs and surrounding areas, including a grocery store. Information related to dining, lodging and events in Yellow Springs is available on the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce website.
Please send us an email confirming your attendance. We are also available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding the degree program or the residency. We look forward to welcoming you to campus!
